You also want to make sure that your craft fair booth or table is inviting to the visitors, who are also your potential buyers. If your booth or table is attractive, people will be curious and interested in what you have to sell.

Christmas crafts are a wonderful way to share the holiday spirit with loved ones. They are a perfect way to involve children, parents, grandparents, siblings and even friends in making special gifts for the holiday season. After all, I think the best gifts are homemade ones! Also, making these crafts can be a lot fun. I like to gather friends and family, serve apple cider and cocoa, play Christmas movies and make crafts. It is a wonderful holiday tradition my friends and family have been doing for now.

A popular Christmas craft material would be felt. Felt is a basic necessity in several different kinds of crafts. It can be used in everything from ornaments to making stockings. Another great thing about felt is it is very inexpensive and comes in a variety of colors! There is not a shortage of Christmas craft fun that can be achieved through the use of felt. It is perfect for making crafts with kids too, as they can cut the fabric with the utmost ease.

Another great vessel for making fun yuletide crafts would be beads. Beads and other pretty and sparkly embellishments are wonderful for decorating ornaments, stockings, door hangings and more. I love to make simple Christmas balls using pretty beads to decorate them. Also, if using felt to make a stocking I love to use beads for extra embellishment. Every year I like to make a felt stocking for a local child or pet in the neighborhood. I then pack the stocking with candy for kids, or bones for dogs, and take it to the family.

Glitter is also a great item for making Christmas crafts. Again, this is perfect for making Christmas ball ornaments. You can buy simple glass balls and roll them in various shades of glitter. This is perfect for entertaining the children. If glass is an issue craft stores will also sell a variety of plastic and other kid-friendly ornaments for decorating.

However, I have to say my favorite Christmas craft materials are the edible kind! I love to make gingerbread houses first and foremost. After purchasing a house you can pick up frosting, sprinkles and edible garnish that children will love to make! Another great idea for some edible crafts is to make edible Christmas trees. All you need is a foam cone, and some individually wrapped candies. You simply pin the candies on the trees and you have a wonderful edible Christmas craft!

Perhaps you've noticed a revival of the classic home arts like knitting, crocheting and quilting that has taken place over the past ten or twenty years. Many people are looking to reconnect with their past and enjoy the satisfaction and stress reducing benefits of handicraft, but aren't sure where to start.

In days gone by, needlecraft skills were passed down from grandmother, to mother to daughter, but today, most of us must look outside of our homes for instruction.

Craft Shops

Quilting, knitting, craft and fabric stores are picking up the slack, offering in-expensive classes in all types of crafting. Experienced teachers give hands on training as students complete projects under their helpful supervision.

Search the term 'quilting store' 'craft classes' or 'fabric shop' in one of the online search engines to find locations in your area. Most shops will have an online presence where they list the various classes they offer and when they are taught.

Even if you don't take a class, feel free to drop in to your nearest store and ask for help getting started. The staff at most crafting shops can demonstrate everything from threading a sewing machine to how to a cluster stitch in crochet, and they are happy to do it.

If you want to learn how to do just about anything these days, you can probably learn it on the internet. Tutorials both free and at a minimal cost abound for almost any craft you can think of. Search 'how to...' and you'll be amazed at the many options available. Are you a visual learner? Then search Google under the heading of 'video', and watch a skilled artisan demonstrate anything from making a rag rug to how to knit a sweater.

Clubs and Socials

Church groups and specialty clubs routinely hold meetings to sew, quilt or stitch together. Some of these are sponsored by private individuals, and others are associated with fabric or yarn stores. Generally they are free and open to the public.

Many churches still hold quilting bee's that donate their finished quilts to new moms who are part of the congregation or local charities. Joining is a great way to learn from seasoned experts, help out a worthy cause and enjoy some fun conversation at the same time.

If you have an interest in learning the domestic arts practiced by your great-great grandmother, don't delay. There are so many ways to get started, and who knows, you may be the one to pass these skills down to your own children and grandchildren.

On average we tend to think of umbrellas as mundane things churned out from a factory, made of stainless steel and a bit of plastic, usually cheap flimsy things you buy in a hurry when it's starting to rain and dispose of with quickly. Or maybe you have a favorite one inherited from your grandfather. But for the most part umbrellas are just, well... umbrellas! You don't think about that stuff anymore than you would a fork, a knife, or the office chair you are sitting in reading this article, browsing the Internet, chatting with friends on Facebook.

What if I told you that in Chiang Mai making umbrellas is an art form, and that each and every one has been crafted with loving care so that no two of them are quite alike?

In places like Baan Bor Saang in the San Kam Paeng area in Chiang Mai, there is a vast cottage industry built around mulberry paper products, one of which is the belle of the ball: parasols made of bamboo wood and mulberry paper. Commonly called jong in the regional Lanna dialect of the north (the dialect itself is named kham mueng, literally "city language" in relation to the old Lanna Kingdom as the center of the north). The parasol itself is considered a symbol of prestige, having been the province of aristocrats, nobility and monkhood in feudal times: the more elaborate one is, the higher one's status.

Parasols were often used during ceremonies for blessing, engagement, and state occasions presided over by the reigning monarch: the parasol-bearer was considered to have the same honor as a standard-bearer during wartime. Common patterns used to decorate each parasols were auspicious Buddhist symbols, colorful flora, and fortune-bringing animals such as birds and turtles. Flowers and leaves were also a common theme.

Today the artists of Baan Bor Saang continue to craft these highly exceptional works of art. While the common tourist souvenir tends to look cheap, some of the best works done in this village turn out truly memorable patterns done on silk and mulberry paper: both of which are materials that have also been handmade in the cottage industry ecosystem of Chiang Mai. Silk of high quality is dyed and woven with beautiful threads to create astonishing, shimmering effects to catch the eye and hold the attention. The mulberry paper itself, far from being common factory products, is individually dyed sheet by sheet into batik patterns or elaborate scripts in the Lanna alphabet telling local folklores, stories, and legends.

This entire process helps support the highly creative concentration of artists in Chiang Mai, maintaining a self-sufficient system where there is little to no need to import materials from outside the country or even the province, as both bamboo, mulberry paper and silk are grown in Chiang Mai and surrounding provinces such as Lamphun and Lampang. The history of parasol-making in Baan Bor Saang can be traced a hundred years previous thanks to the cultural and intellectual exchange of a Thai monk and a Burmese craftsman that made the village one of the most productive and prestigious when it comes to the making of Thai umbrellas.

Ayacucho is one of the best places in Peru to shop for handmade crafts such as wooden figures and ceramics. The best place in the city to find these things is the Mercado Artesanal Shosaku Nagase, five blocks north of the main plaza. This large facility is two buildings housing a variety of stalls where the government operates training sessions for local artists who want to become expert craftsmen. Their works are displayed for sale in the numerous stalls.

Another good place in this are for shopping is the Barrio Santa Ana, located 10 blocks southwest of the main plaza. This Barrios has a very strong Quechua culture. The main square is called Plazuela de Santa Ana and has several family run galleries surrounding it. Like in the Mercado, you can watch at the goods are made by hand by craft experts. This area is particularly famous for its rugs. One of the most famous rug makers in the world lives here. Gregorio Sulca is known around the world for his rug work based on Quechua culture. His work is beautiful, but also very expensive.

The absolute best place, however, to buy artisan pieces in slightly outside of the city. The little town of Quinua is 23 miles northeast of Ayacucho and known as the handicraft capital of Peru. The houses and plazas of this town are beautiful and picturesque. Artisans from this town export their work around the world, but very few visitors come to the town itself. You can shop at the touristy stall near the may road, or you can venture future back in to the heart of the village and the streets behind Plazuela de Armas. Here you'll find other art galleries, pottery firing stations, and houses where people are hand painting their ceramics. One place to check for good shopping deals is Galeria Familia Sanchez on San Martin. This studio is owned by Waler Sanchez and he makes some of the best ceramics and tiny church figurines in town.

To get to Quinua from Ayacucho, you should take a small bus or van, called a colectivos, from the corner of Jiron Salvador Cavero and Jr. Ciro Alegria. This corner is in the eastern portion of the town. Expect the trip to take about an hour and will cost around a dollar. Colectivos tend to depart about once an hour. This is also a good way to see more Andean countryside.

Chiang Mai is a city of artists: no traveler can doubt this after having stepped into one of the many handicraft centers located throughout the provinces, where there are flowing abundances of paintings, exquisite fabrics, umbrellas, furniture and silverware. It is no surprise, therefore, that in January 2011 the governing body of Chiang Mai initiated a procedure to apply for a Creative City Status with UNESCO for the province as a joint effort between the municipal authorities, the communities of Chiang Mai, and the Chiang Mai University. Toward this, efforts have been made to coordinate different sectors of the city's economy, from cottage industrialists to hospitality to independent artists to develop human resources, increase jobs, and encourage the development of the arts.

While most travelers will be more readily familiar with the Night Market and the Walking Streets, both of which are within the city center and therefore more conveniently accessible, you might want to consider going a little off the beaten track and trying the Baan Tawai, an OTOP (One Tambon One Product, a program to encourage and sponsor Thai artisans) village. Located on Route 108 in Amphur Hang Dong, about fifteen kilometers south of the city center, it has in recent years streamlined into convenient "zones" of shops, eateries and cafes while the main street itself is home to furniture shops that sell some of the most creative furniture and home décor items found anywhere in the world: there you will find chairs and couches in flowing abstract wood, delicate forest nymphs, and beautiful bamboo lanterns. Prices are also ridiculously cheap for such workmanship, material and artistry; the only possible concern you might have would be shipping logistics, but you can be assured that if you're buying furniture or decorating a new house then you can certainly do worse-and do more expensively-than browsing through several Baan Tawai shops.

Your next stop should be some of the inner zones. Zones 2 and 4 are particularly popular, flourishing with little art galleries full of oils and acrylics in styles both modernistic and traditional Thai, unique pieces that can be had for as little as $20. Zone 4 also features a corner with upscale shops selling fantastic glassware, celadon ceramics, and a little café that offers free WiFi, decent bakery, and killer frappe coffee made to order as well as a small menu of traditional Northern Thai fare. The style of goods in general are very particular to Chiang Mai, quite distinct from that found in other regions of Thailand (or any other parts of Asia) and the quality is consistently high: did you know that some ceramics from Whittard of Chelsea are, in fact, made in Thailand and indeed right in Baan Tawai itself?

While the area is somewhat remote from city conveniences, there is a smattering of eateries throughout the village that will more than serve the need for light lunches and breakfasts. Pharmacies and convenience stores, such as 7-11 and others, are also scattered about the zones should you feel the need for a quick drink or need to top up your pay-as-you-go phone cards. The shopkeepers price their goods fairly, and often the salesperson and the artist (or sculptor, or weaver) are one and the same. Incenses, novelty candles, papier-mache dolls, Thai silks and more can likewise be found in the village. It's the perfect alternative to shopping therapy in air-conditioned malls, and sure to offer everyone something to like.

Over a thousand years ago the people of Java, an island in the East Indies, wanted to put pictures of the fruits, flowers, and birds which they saw around them on their clothes. They knew that wax would resist water, so they covered the designs they had made on the cloth with melted wax. When the wax was stiffened the cloth was dipped into a cool dye made from vegetables and fruits. After the wax was removed by melting it again with hot water, the light pictures showed clearly against the dyed, colored background.

Today this process, as well as the cloth itself, is called batik. You can make a batik yourself with wax crayons and a package of dye. Suppose you want to make a batik scarf. First draw your design, perhaps some fruit, or flowers, or a bird, just as the Javanese did, on a piece of cotton material. Cover the design solidly with the wax crayon. Dip the cloth into the dye, following the directions on the box.

After the dyed cloth has been thoroughly dyed, wash it with soap and hot water. You will find the crayon washes and you have a real batik. This same method can be used to make a crayon batik on paper. Instead of dye you can use black water-color paint. Draw your picture on the paper and this time use all the bright colors you can. Press hard on the crayons and cover the design solidly. Then brush the black paint over the whole paper. When the paper is dry you will find that the beautifully colored picture shines out of the dark background

I love crafting, which is why I spend countless hours creating handcrafts in my workshop. One of my favorite activities is preparing for upcoming craft shows. I love the last few days just before a show, packaging and pricing merchandise, deciding on how I'll set up my booth depending on the time of the year, and making last minute additions to my inventory.

What I particularly love is creating my bag toppers for my projects. I am a graphic designer as well as a crafter, so designing bag toppers for seasonal shows is a task I do myself. With a color printer and some card stock, bag toppers are easy to make.

First I decide on the color of card stock I plan to use. Then I determine the size topper I need for each size bag I will be using. After I determine the size of the bag topper, I can then sketch out my design layout.

On each topper, I like to utilize applicable seasonal designs. For fall shows, I use graphics such as pumpkins, colorful leaves, Halloween images, and Thanksgiving themed designs. Christmas toppers will have reindeer, vintage Santas, snowmen, Christmas trees, angels, and prim stars.

I make certain to leave plenty of room for the text. The text should be in a font size that shoppers can easily read. I usually put my pricing on the topper, also, along with my business name, address, telephone number, and website URL.

I use card stock for my bag toppers because it is more durable than paper and can withstand the packing, unpacking, and repacking at the craft shows. If some toppers become worn from trips to several shows, I simply replace them with newly printed ones when necessary.

The bag toppers are not expensive to make. The card stock and the printer ink are the only tangibles involved. The main "expense" for the toppers is my time in designing the graphics on them so they will be attractive to customers.

The bags themselves are in varying sizes and while they do not cost that much individually, I buy them in bulk so initially there is some capital to be outlaid up front. I try to limit how many different sizes I need because I buy a specific size in quantities of 1000 or so.

If you don't want to carry it with you, pick up things you see throughout your day that inspire you, and add them to your journal when at home. Memorabilia such as ticket stubs, paint chips from the hardware store, colorful magazine ads, found items such as bottle tops.

Once your items are added, write notes next to them about where you found them, what inspires you about them, or every unique way you can think of to create a craft out of them.

Review Your Journal

Depending on how often you use your journal, review it every now and then. If you use it every week, review your entries at least once a month. You'll be surprised at the themes you see and the ideas you came up with.

You are your own inspiration. Use your creativity journal to spark ideas for your craft projects. Anytime you feel in need of a creative boost, just look through your journal.

The jewelry of Kerala is noted for its artistic perfection. Each caste or community had its typical ornament. An ornament of the Nair women was Nagapadam or serpent hood, so called after the shape of the pendant. An ear ornament called Toda, a double convex disc, was worn after dilating the earlobes. Mukkuthi was an ornament for nose and Kappu for the wrist. The most important ornaments for the neck were Addyal, Yantram, Avil Mala and Puli Nakham. Cherutali was a kind of necklace worn loose over the breast by Namboodiri women while Kasu Mala and Oddyanam were used by Tamil Brahmin. A kind of heavy guilt brass ring called Mekka Motiram was worn by Christian women after boring their ears in several places. Ottezhapathakkam, Kombu, Tala etc., were also typical Christian ornaments. Though most of the traditional ornaments mentioned above have become defunct now, the Kerala women are still found of ornaments, and jewelry items like necklaces, bangles, chains, earrings, studs etc., are now made by Kerala goldsmiths in a variety of attractive designs.

Apart from the main crafts described above, there are also a few others which deserve mention. Granite carving is one such art, which is mainly centred in Chengannur. The granite workers manufacture a variety of articles like idols, household equipment, pillars, survey stones etc., which are in great demand. The manufacture of musical instruments like Chenda, Maddalam, Mridangam, Edakka etc., is done in some places. The costumes and accessories required in Kathakali and Teyyam are being manufactured by some craftsmen. No matter how hard I searched I couldn't find a definitive answer to the never ending debate "Handmade vs. Handcrafted". If you're into any aspect of art or crafting I can almost guarantee you've had this discussion before one form or another. So what do the experts say?

The American Heritage Dictionary defines "Handmade" as; made or prepared by hand rather than by machine. It's definition of "Handcrafted"; to fashion or make by hand.

Merriam Webster:

Handmade; made by hand or by a hand process. Handcrafted; to fashion by handicraft. Handicraft;

1: a: manual skill b: an occupation requiring skill with the hands

2: the articles fashioned by those engaged in handicraft.

Webster:

Handmade; made by hand or a hand process

Handcrafted; A work produced by hand labor

Almost every definition was identical. For fun I got out my old dusty Webster's Seventh New Collegiate Dictionary published in 1963 to see what they had to say 45 years ago. I wasn't surprised to see there wasn't much of a difference. Handmade; made by hand or a hand process. Handcraft; to fashion by handicraft. Handicraft; 1a: manual skill. b: an occupation requiring a skill with the hands.

Lastly I tried to find a more modern definition so I tried Wikipedia. Handmade; means something made by hand, rather than by a machine.
Much to my surprise the word handcrafted came up with "No article title matches". Tried "What is handcrafted" only to come up with a ton of ad's for people describing handcrafted (as they see it) items for sale.

After several hours of research I gave up. I guess I'm going to have to give you my narrative of handcrafted vs. handmade and let you decide which classification to choose.

Since most agree that "handmade" is a process of making something by hand, or with your hands, does it mean entirely by hand or the process of putting something together using your hands? Reading the definitions I found, it means just about the same thing.

So you receive a jigsaw puzzle for your birthday and put it together using your hands. Did you handcraft the puzzle or was the puzzle handmade by you? What if you actually drew out a picture, cut it up into hundreds of pieces then put it back together again, is it handmade or handcrafted? You actually made the puzzle didn't you?

In an article I wrote Art vs. Crafts I mentioned the definition for "Artisan"; "also called a "craftsman; skilled manual worker who uses tools and machinery in a particular craft" . An interesting interpretation on the subject.

If you were presented with a kit to make a bracelet and did, I believe your bracelet would fall under the category "handcrafted". You used your skills and put together something that was pre-fabricated.

Using the same analogy if you were to use the same kit and produce something other than a bracelet, or enhanced the bracelet using the parts in a different manner than described or instructed, then you'd still have "handcrafted". If you were to actually make and add additional parts or assemble the kit in a different manner, then I would say it's still "handcrafted".

I believe this because I purchase and use prefabricated items for the creation of the items I design jewelry or otherwise. I may purchase jewelry findings or artisan-made beads to enhance or complete a piece of jewelry I design and make. How I used the findings, where I put them, and the ability to design the jewelry around the findings I use, I call handcrafted. Is this bad, no. Either way, I used my hands and my mind (what matters most) in the creation of a particular item. And yes, I use a variety of tools to help me in the process.

As much as I'd hate to admit it, I think "handmade" should refer to items which are uniquely made from totally raw materials. If you raise the sheep, process the wool, then weave it by hand into a rug, I'd consider that "handmade". But wait, you need tools to weave a rug don't you? So does that knock it out of the handmade category? What if you use a machine in the process? But what if you built that machine yourself? Is your rug handmade or handcrafted? Oh my gosh, this is too much informational overload to process.

I work with natural materials in a different art medium; gourds They are a natural material. I grow them, dry them, clean them, sand, carve, inlay, embellish, paint and finish them in different manners. I still consider them handcrafted rather than handmade because I didn't make the gourd itself. I simply used something and added to it using my hands and imaginative ability. I use my ability to craft something out of an existing item.

Is there an answer to the difference between handcrafted and handmade? I've considered which classification to add my own work to several times as I wrote this article. Which sounds better, handcrafted or handmade? Would it make a difference to you if you were given the opportunity to purchase an exact duplicate item; one marked handcrafted and the other handmade? Would you care so long as you knew someone used their hands to create the item? Does it boil down to keywords used in searching Google or Yahoo as to which you buy? Or are you going to purchase something you like? That's the ultimate question.

The line I have to draw between handcrafted and handmade is the mass produced machine made items being classified as handmade only because someone had to turn the switch from on to off to start the process.

This debate will go on for years well beyond our time. It truly doesn't matter. You'll do a search for "handmade" first then proceed to "handcrafted" thinking you'll get a better result or the exact opposite. Either way, what you'll get is items which are made by someone using their hands. Someone who has put their heart and soul into the product hoping someone out there will appreciate their work and purchase the item.

Don't limit yourself because of what I or anyone else says. Handcrafted, handmade is the same. If you like it, appreciate it, and it makes you happy, by all means purchase it. After all, it was made by hand for someone special; you.

Pressed flowers are popular still today. I think they can be used quite successfully in a number of ways. Not only flowers, but different types of grasses etc., too. Generally, all kinds of flowers and grasses can be pressed, one way or another.

I would say however, that when you go looking for flowers to press, always choose the best specimens that you can find at the time. It stands to reason that if the flowers are not at their freshest, you are not going to get a very good result after pressing. If the flowers are already knocked about, this process will not revive them.

So, once you have the best of what you were looking for, preferably on a clear day, not a wet one, cut away any thicker parts of your flowers so that it will press flat.

Even as a child I can remember scouring fields in Warwickshire for flowers and taking them home, to press later between the pages of a very thick and old book. In fact, even to this day, I still sometimes come across very old pressed flowers that have kept remarkably well.

This method of pressing must date back hundreds of years. When I cleared out my house I came across a book my mother had pressed when she was a child. The thicker the book you use for this, the better. The very old, thick type, of leather bound family bibles are often used.

In the main I would suggest that you choose books which have absorbent pages. Books with shiny glossy pages are not to be recommended. Whatever you do, make sure that your flowers are clean and it is very important that they are dry, with any surplus bits removed.

Place them carefully in a thick book. You will then need to add weight on top of this. In the past I have used books with heavy full bottles on top, or anything that will press weight on to the book.

Now you need to leave them and forget about them for a while. Probably for around six weeks. This is the original method. Years ago these flowers used to be put into drawing books, named and dated.

Now however, in craft shops, and often gift shops, you can buy flower presses, whereby your flowers are wedged between sheets of paper with a piece of wood either end of this. What actually happens, is that you tighten four screws each end to work the press. You still insert papers in between.

However, pressed flowers can be used for many items, such as paper weights, tags for gifts, bookmarks and candles, just to name several. To make cards though, you would need some paper adhesive, a smallish brush which is soft, tweezers, some pressed flowers and also leaves would be good in this instance and some paper for your card.

Firstly, if you have chosen what you want for your card, just ascertain that your items will fit well into your card. You could apply some lace to your card as a background, or even a piece of different coloured card to your paper, as a base on your folded card.

Then use your tweezers carefully to pick up your flower or leaf, stem etc. and put adhesive on the back and place them carefully into position and press gently down. When you have completed this, it would be a very good idea to put something heavy on top. I use a heavy iron, but thick books will do.

You can obtain a matt adhesive for paper, which you could later apply lightly with a brush over your flowers. Note, you will only need a thin layer. Leave it to dry.

A lot of us still remember the days of playing our favorite vinyl record albums on a turntable, and can recall the anticipation of bringing that album home from the record store to give it a spin and play our radio favorite again and again. Here is a classic way to resurrect one or two of those old record albums and show them off in an artsy way and protect them at the same time.

I was inspired to create this decorating project when I came across an album shaped hanging frame with a glass cover to protect the front of the album jacket. That of course is the part that holds the record itself. The frame was designed to display album covers on a wall as decorative art. Throughout the decades of modern music as we know it, specifically the time period from the psychedelic 60s to the present time, the design and artwork that would go in to an album jacket cover, and the more current CD covers, at times has resulted in phenomenal and historically significant art. So, when I discovered this frame designed to show off some of those more artsy album covers, I was immediately drawn to the idea and started to make a mental list of the old albums I had that might work well displayed on my walls.

Then, like that proverbial light bulb flashing over my head, I had a revolutionary idea that had me jumping through the ceiling with excitement. What if I took an old record album or two, great musically speaking, but lacking in artistic interpretation on the cover, and used that same frame I found to display the vinyl record itself. Of course, you must be asking what is so original about that idea? Well, pull up a chair and I will show you how to make that dark vinyl disc a work of art.

First let us look at the supplies you will need for this attention drawing project:

·Square album frame with glass cover: (12 ¼in. X 12 ¼in.);
·An album, without the jacket cover
·Scrapbooking theme paper, theme wrapping paper, or any artistic paper that projects the message or theme of the album itself.
·Thicker cardboard cut in to the square dimensions of your frame (this should match the shape given above that is intended for an album cover to fit inside)
·Adhesive glue stick or artist spray adhesive

To put this framed art project together, you are simply taking an old record album and showing it off on your wall in the same way that music artists are awarded once their recordings reach a certain level of sales. Whereas their successfully selling record albums are represented in gold or platinum, our framed records will be the actual albums themselves with a decorative theme border surrounding them.

Step 1: You may have a square piece of the thick cardboard included with your frame. However, if you do not, just cut a square piece of cardboard in the dimensions listed above from an ordinary cardboard box. Test fit the cardboard inside the frame before going any further. Once you have a fit, set your cardboard on a flat surface safe for cutting upon. Now, take your album of choice, and place it exactly in the center. A perfect way to find the true center is to first measure your square and make a pen mark at that point. Then, simply lay the album over the cardboard and line up the hole in the middle of the album with that pen mark. Bet the inventor of the record album never realized the center hole had a dual purpose, did he? Once you have marked your place, take a sharp utility blade and slowly score the cardboard along the circular edge of the album. Once complete, remove the album and cut completely through your scored cardboard to remove the inner circle. You are now ready for the next step.

Step 2: You will now want to take your scrapbooking paper or wrapping paper of choice, and cover your cardboard using an adhesive glue stick. Make sure the paper is flat against the cardboard without any bubbles, and then cut out the center circular portion where the album itself will be inserted. Once the paper is dry, place it inside the album frame, insert your album, and place the protective backing that came with the frame back in place.

That is it! Your artsy framed old record album is ready to be hung on the wall and admired. Have fun with it.

The central of metalwork such as copper and brass has been in existence since the age of Matarm kingdom. At the time, the center of metalworking was functioned as the main supplier of household items made of metal, serving the aristocrats as well as the comments.

At the time of the Mataram kingdom, a Mataram Prince known by the name Prince Jolang intended to stay in the Tumang area. At the time, the Tumang area was still a forest. In this place, Prince Jolang and his aides opened the forest and built a settlement. Henceforth, Prince Jolang needs such as eating utensils and household items made of metal was supplied by a few blacksmiths.

After the prince passed, the blacksmiths stayed in the Tumang area. Over time, these blacksmiths spawned a new generation of copper house wares crafters in the Tumang area.
